On September 26, 2015, Fountain Valley Police Officers arrested 25-year-old Vanessa Montes of Santa Ana for two residential burglaries in the City of Fountain Valley near Mount Hope Street and Warner Avenue. The two burglaries occurred during the early morning hours while the residents were at home and asleep. Fountain Valley Patrol Officers tracked Montes to a commercial center, located on the southeast corner of Trask and Fairview in the City of Santa Ana. Montes was found sleeping in the driver’s seat of a reported stolen vehicle from the City of Garden Grove. Stolen property was recovered from Montes’ possession and the stolen vehicle was released back to the victim. Montes was arrested for residential burglary, vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Criminal enhancements were requested for burglary of an occupied dwelling. Montes had absconded from her Orange County supervised release conditions and had outstanding warrants for vehicle theft and drug charges. She was booked into Orange County Jail without bail.
