On September 7, 2015, at approximately 6:10 am, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a car parked in front of the drive-up mailbox at the Post Office located at 17227 Newhope Avenue. Cesar Lorenzo Cabaong, 10/29/89, of Los Angeles, was found to be in possession of several pieces of mail covered in a sticky substance belonging to other people. As Officers continued the search, they discovered several checks made out to several different people and counterfeit US currency. Officers located evidence suggesting Cabaong was using improvised devices to access mail that had just been deposited into the mailbox. Cabaong was arrested for possession of stolen property, burglary tools, possession of counterfeit money, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia. Cabaong was booked at Orange County Jail; bail was set at $20,000. Incident # 15-38177.
