The Harper Park Improvement Project began on July 16, 2018. Due to its poor conditions and age, both playground structures at Harper Park were due for replacement. The project consists of replacing both playground structures with new and improved equipment; in addition, the new equipment will meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The park playground upgrades include not only the procurement and installation of new ADA compliant play equipment but also the placement of pour-in-place rubberized safety surfacing in fall zones and entry points. The rubberized surfacing maintains ADA compliance and provides for required fall zone protection. The new play equipment will blend a variety of fitness themed play activities aimed at improving youth fitness! The Project is scheduled to be complete by mid-September.
