PCTA received two “Honorable Mentions” in the 2018 NATOA Government Programming Awards competition: "Fountain Valley 60th Anniversary Series" in the Promotional Campaign category, and “Young at Heart” in the Senior Programming category.
“Fountain Valley 60th Anniversary Series” was a series of six promotional announcements spotlighting the City’s 60th anniversary in 2017. Community leaders appearing in the minute-long TV spots included Mayor Michael Vo, City Councilman John Collins, and community leaders Ed Arnold, Susan Saurastri, Barbara Montz, and John Etheridge. “Young at Heart” is a half-hour program that spotlights local senior citizens and activities for seniors.
NATOA’s Government Programming Awards honor excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local government agencies nationwide. This year’s awards competition received nearly one thousand entries, submitted by local governments across the country.
The Public Cable Television Authority (PCTA) is a joint powers agency representing the cities of Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, and Stanton and produces exclusive local television programming for each of its member cities. PCTA programming can be seen on Spectrum, Frontier FiOS, and AT&T U-Verse, as well as via each member city’s website.
