The Public Hearing date for the City Council to consider the specific plan has been set for Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers located at 10200 Slater Avenue. During this public hearing, the City Council will hear a presentation from staff and the consultant team on the draft Specific Plan and the draft Final EIR, then will hear comments from the public, and finally are expected to vote on the Specific Plan.
In addition to the public hearing on Tuesday the 23rd, there will also be a Study Session for the City Council prior to the City Council Meeting on January 16, 2018. Please check the City Council Agenda this Friday to see the start time of this Study Session. The purpose of this Study Session will be to remind the City Council of the draft Specific Plan and to answer any questions they may have prior to the formal Public Hearing on the 23rd. As with any public meeting, the public will have the opportunity to speak if they choose. There will be no City Council decisions regarding the draft Specific Plan or Final EIR at the January 16, 2018, Study Session.
Lastly on the upcoming Fountain Valley Crossings Specific Plan schedule will be a Mayor’s Breakfast presentation of an overview of the project. The purpose of this overview presentation is to present the facts of the draft Specific Plan. In addition to this presentation, staff will working to address any misconceptions or misinformation that may be out there regarding the Fountain Valley Crossings Specific Plan in the coming weeks.
