SO Torch

The Torch will be passed from the Westminster Police Department to Fountain Valley Police Officers at the intersection of Magnolia and Edinger. Fountain Valley Police will pass the Torch to the Huntington Beach Police Department at Talbert and Beach Boulevard. The Torch will then continue on its way to California State, Long Beach for the lighting of the “Flame of Hope”, which marks the beginning of the Summer Games.

The flame will travel about 1,500 miles and through 200 Southern California cities on its way to the Southern California Summer Games at California State University, Long Beach June 13-14. The Special Olympic World Summer Games will be held in Los Angeles July 25-August 2.

The Fountain Valley Police Department will carry the Torch eastbound on Edinger to Brookhust, soutbound Brookhurst to Warner, westbound Warner to Bushard, southbound Bushard to Talbert, westbound Talbert to Beach. Please support Special Olympics Athletes and FVPD runners as they carry the Torch on its journey through Fountain Valley!
