[ARCHIVED] Press Release - Brandishing of a Firearm Arrest

On 07/06/20, FVPD Officers responded to area of Euclid Street and Warner Avenue, reference a report of a brandished firearm. The victim stated he was driving home from the beach with his family when the driver of a white pickup truck, Anthony Vidalon, a 33-year-old resident of Anaheim, pointed a black handgun at him. Fearing for the safety of himself and his family, the victim called 911 and reported the incident. Within minutes, FVPD officers arrived on scene, located the pickup truck, and subsequently stopped Vidalon in the area of Heil Avenue and Brookhurst Street. During a search of Vidalon’s vehicle, officers located a Springfield 9mm semi-automatic handgun, one magazine containing ten 9mm bullets, and thirty 5.56mm rifle rounds. Vidalon was subsequently arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail for felony brandishing of a firearm at a motor vehicle.
