The Code Enforcement Division utilizes the RSVP’s from the Police Department to help in maintaining Fountain Valley as “A Nice Place to Live.” The RSVP’s are volunteers that drive through assigned areas in the City and identify common code enforcement violations.

Once a violation is identified, they leave a yellow “friendly reminder” door hanger tag at the property noting the violation and schedule a follow up inspection in two weeks.   Once they have left five yellow tags at the property and the violation(s) still exists, the address and violation(s) is forwarded to the Code Enforcement Division so a Code Enforcement Officer can open a case and schedule an inspection of the property. If you have a code enforcement violation and are unsure what to do, you can contact the Code Enforcement Division at (714) 593-4444.
