The Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council is sponsoring a Community Service Day on Saturday, April 22. The City of Fountain Valley's project is located at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst Street (Mile Square Park). Park and meet in the field next to the Boy & Girls Club (right off Brookuhurst).
Families and groups are welcome to volunteer in the following: Planting 500 plants, spreading wood chips, weeding, and more. Please bring water, a hat, and sunscreen - and a shovel, rake, and gloves if you have them. Hours are between 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. An hour or two is all that is needed to make a difference in the park.
