On June 9, 2022, City Council and the City's Management Team held a Strategic Planning Retreat that was facilitated by Knight Leadership Solutions at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center. The retreat was a day-long session and was open to the general public. During the retreat, the City's Management Team and City Council restated the City's mission statement, core values, and three-year goals, engaged in activities that fostered team-building and collaboration, identified strengths and weaknesses within the organization, and brainstormed goals and objectives to focus on during the next 6 months. This is an ongoing planning session that occurs every 6 months. City Staff plans to take the identified strategic objectives before City Council for consideration at the July 19, 2022, City Council meeting.
