The original item was published from January 21, 2022 9:29 AM to January 27, 2022 8:04 AM

Beginning January 4, 2022, OC I-405 crews will be closing the northbound (NB) I-405 off-ramp to Brookhurst Street and the NB I-405 loop on-ramp from NB Brookhurst Street. The closure period will be for approximately two months to accommodate the freeway widening.

During the closure, improvement activities include the removal of the existing ramp, excavation, placement and compaction of base material, rebar and concrete work, paving, drainage installation, electrical work, and striping. In addition, OC I-405 crews will install and relocate multiple utilities on the Brookhurst Bridge. Detour signs and Changeable Message signs are in place for guiding traffic.

Please refer to the detour schematics below, and plan your travels accordingly:

The Brookhurst ramp is scheduled to reopen on March 6, 2022.

For questions or concerns, please contact the OC I-405 Community Outreach Team directly at (888) 400-8994 or 405project@octa.net.
