Free E-waste and Shredding Event on October 9th
There will be a free E-waste and Shredding event on Saturday, October 9th, from 9 AM - 12 PM, in the Center at Founders Village Parking Lot, located at 17967 Bushard Street (corner of Bushard and Talbert). Please note that the location is different from previous E-waste events.
Monster Hunt on October 16th, 2 PM - 5 PM
The monsters are back for this year's Monster Hunt. Join the Fountain Valley Recreation Agents on October 16th from 2 PM - 5 PM and help search for some monsters on the loose in local Fountain Valley Parks. Please meet at our headquarters, located at 16400 Brookhurst Street, off of Brookhurst and Heil. The event is FREE to attend so come and join our team!
Movie in the Park – Halloween Supreme! October 23rd
Join the Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services team on October 23rd for the Disney * Pixar movie ONWARD at the Fountain Valley Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst Street. There will be food, games, candy, trick or treating, and more. We encourage all to come dressed up! Activities will begin at 5 PM and the movie will begin at dusk.

HICAP
Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program (HICAP) is offered through the Council on Aging-Southern California. HICAP offers free unbiased and individualized counseling on Medicare, Medicare Policies, and other related health insurance topics. The HICAP counselor can assist you by improving your understanding of Medicare-related benefits, enrollment requirements, supplemental plans, prescription drug plans, programs to help lower your costs, and long-term care services and support. Assistance with billing issues, including appeals, is also available. Join us the second and fourth Tuesday, every month, from 9 AM - 12 PM. There is no cost to schedule an appointment, but please register by calling our front desk at (714) 593-4446.

The City of Fountain Valley, in partnership with Fresh Beginnings Ministries, has officially launched a brand new Senior Social Services Outreach Program. Legal Aid
The Legal Aid Society offers legal advice to seniors (must be at least 60 years of age or older). A legal representative is available to offer advice on issues including government benefits, health, housing, consumer problem, wills, elder abuse, and more. Join us on the third Thursday, every month, from 9 AM - 12 PM. There is no cost to schedule an appointment, but please register by calling our front desk at (714) 593-4446.

Did you know that the Fountain Valley Senior Center is available for rentals? The City recently approved reduced rental prices for both residents and non-residents.
