As of February 16 at 5 p.m., the Small Business Emergency Relief Grant Program Round Two has been closed. There are 62 applicants and the Small Business Development Center will review and conduct a lottery drawing with the City on Monday, March 1, 2021.
In January 2021, County of Orange Second Supervisorial District allocated $125,000 to the City of Fountain Valley to support businesses within the district impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. City Council directed City staff to provide up to $5,000 grant for eligible businesses and provide priority to businesses that were/have been closed due to the State Stay-at-Home orders.
The program will provide a $5,000 grant through the Small Business Emergency Relief Grant Program Round Two to small businesses needing financial assistance in overcoming the temporary loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is based on the availability of funds, program guidelines and submission of all required information and supporting documentation with priority for those businesses that were/are closed due to the State orders. The grant may be used for working capital to cover the day-to-day business operating expenses, or other similar expenses that occur in the ordinary course of operations.
