Meet the team from Fresh Beginnings Ministries who is providing the Senior Social Services Program. Bill Nelson and Muriel Ullman will both be online discussing the program, providing resources, and sharing their expertise with the group.

Join Tien Q. Nguyen, M.D., a dermatology specialist with Orange Coast Medical Center, for a virtual, interactive discussion about skin health as we age. This Zoom session is in partnership with the team at the Center at Founders Village Senior and Community Center.  RSVP to 714-593-4446.

Virtual Holiday Dance for Persons with Disabilities
The City of Fountain Valley Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities will host a free, virtual Holiday Dance on Friday, December 11 from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.  RSVP by December 9th to save your space. 

December Senior Meal Distribution
The Meals On Wheels Orange County Program will continue in December at The Center at Founders Village. Please note that due to the upcoming holidays, frozen meals will be distributed on Tuesday, December 22 in lieu of Thursday, December 24 and on Tuesday, December 29 in lieu of Thursday, December 31. Please call The Center at Founders Village with any questions at (714) 593-4446.

The City of Fountain Valley puts out a Call for Artists!
The City of Fountain Valley is proud to host a Utility Art Box Program, “Art on a Box,” as part of a beautification project to promote local artists, local history, and create a sense of community engagement, civic pride and heritage. The program supports the creation of public art by sponsoring artists to improve the visual aesthetics and invigorate utility boxes in public right-of-way streets by turning City-owned utility cabinets into a canvas for art. Senior Social Services, Information, and Referral Program Available Now!
The Center at Founders Village is excited to share that the City of Fountain Valley has partnered with Fresh Beginnings Ministries to launch a free information and referral program for seniors. The program is open to Fountain Valley seniors who may be in need of individual and group counseling, or information and referral services. Look at the monthly newsletter, “The Center Piece,” for more information and to meet the partners who will provide these services to Fountain Valley seniors.

Upcoming Closures for the Recreation and Community Services buildings:

  • The Recreation Center, 16400 Brookhurst Street, will be closed Monday, December 21, 2020 through Sunday, January 3, 2021. The Recreation Center will re-open on Monday, January 4, 2021

  • The Center at Founders Village at 17967 Bushard Street will be closed for in-person visits and phone calls Monday, December 21 through Friday, January 1, 2021.  The Center will reopen Monday, January 4, 2021 for informational phone calls and assistance.
