Products that contain corrosive, toxic, flammable or reactive ingredients are considered Household Hazardous Waste. These items include paint, cleaners, pesticide, oils and batteries that contain hazardous ingredients that require special care to dispose of them. Improper disposal of these materials, like pouring them down the sink or in the street, can pose health risks and pollute the environment.
Fountain Valley Residents can dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste items FREE at the collection center located at Republic Services 17121 Nichols St. Gate 6 in Huntington Beach.
While you are there, visit the material exchange program where residents can choose up to five
items of partially used household, yard and car care products.
