Construction of the rehabilitation and renovation of the City Hall Fountain project which commenced on July 16, 2018 has been completed.
The water feature at City Hall was turned off in 2015 to conserve water during the State of California’s drought emergency. Since the drought ended in 2017, the City decided to restart Fountain Valley’s iconic water feature and include drought tolerant landscaping to reduce water usage.
The completed fountain includes new tiles and stone veneer finish and is fully functional. The upper tier of the fountain has been converted to a landscape area that consists of drought tolerant plants with a drip irrigation system; and the lower tier includes a smaller size water feature.
The fountain was re-designed to include long-term sustainability, reduce water usage and enhance the entry for all visitors of Fountain Valley!
