The Fountain Valley Police Department in partnership with Wal-Mart in Westminster hosts “Shop with a Cop” during the holiday season. A boy and a girl from each elementary school in Fountain Valley whose families are in need are selected by their school to participate in this program.
Each child is treated to breakfast and shopping with an Officer to select toys/gifts, and the parent receives a grocery card gift card. It is an awesome sight to see the Officers interact and have a positive impact on the children and their families by giving them a little bit of Christmas cheer in what otherwise might be a dismal Christmas for many of these children!
