General Plan Update
Did you know the City is updating its General Plan?
The Fountain Valley General Plan is the primary long-range policy and planning document guiding the city's physical development, conservation, and improvement. Every city in California is required by state law to adopt a general plan containing goals and
policies that expresses the community's vision of its future, improves public safety, and enhances access to and the use of available resources.
The City's General Plan was last comprehensively updated in 1995. For more information review the project Fact Sheet, Public Involvement Plan, and Schedule.
We would appreciate your input onthe Draft Vision Statement. The Vision Statement expresses the community’sshared outcomes for the City’s future and is based on community valuesconcerning the characteristics and qualities of life that are important todayand should be retained in the future, as well as how the community shouldevolve and respond to changing conditions. On July 17, 2019, the GPAC willconsider the Draft Vision Statement. Please email any comments to Brian James at email@example.com by July 16, 2019, or attend the next GPAC meeting to provide input.
