August 10, 2007 — Valley Crest Landscape Development is well underway with the Fountain Valley Recreation Center Master Plan Expansion. (See photos.) The contractor is 90% complete with the demolition items of work. During this phase of work, the contractor salvaged over 30 mature trees, which were boxed and taken off site. The contractor has also recycled much of the existing improvements, including base material and turf through the use of pulverizing and crushing equipment. The intent is to use the recycled material as part of the park improvements for grading and subgrade preparation.

The contractor will begin the rough grading of the park during the week of 8/13. This work is scheduled to continue for approximately one month. Underground utilities and fine grading are scheduled to begin immediately following the completion of the rough grading.
