October 30, 2007 — ValleyCrest Landscape Development is continuing on schedule with the Fountain Valley Recreation Center Master Plan Expansion. The contractor has completed all the grading work that could be done at this time and has now moved on to the underground and building portions of the project.

The contractor is working on the installation of the storm drain. They have completed the tie-in at Brookhurst St., and are continuing East on Central Park Drive. Domestic water improvements have begun around the Recreation Building and underground electrical conduit installation is well underway throughout the park, including the new SCE feed point location off the maintenance road. The contractor has also worked extensively on the new irrigation system.

Construction has also begun on the buildings and structures. All but one of the new trash enclosures has begun construction along with the entry wall located just North of the Recreation Building. Building locations A, B, and C are also underway. The building pads and underground utilities have been completed. They are currently working on the footings and building slabs. This work will continue to the end of the year.
